Recycling

Stay Green

We no longer offer residential pickups or accept residential drop offs. If you are a business and need to have some items picked up, feel free to give us a call at (636) 778 – 9658 or contact us via our contact page.

You are also welcome to drop off items at our warehouse, please call to make arrangements, located in Maryland Heights. That will save you the pickup fee, but items that have a cost will be the same price.

There’s no exact catch-all answer. Every item is different because prices of electronics change rapidly based on the market.

We’ll offer varying amounts for different items; we’ll always be up-front, honest, and fair in the amounts we offer. We’re also willing to explain why things are not worth money.

Most common IT and electronic gear has no recycling fees. Click here to see details: Red Leaf IT Electronic Recycling Guide (redleafasset.com)

If the item you want to drop off isn’t in the list, please feel free to contact us via our contact page.

We no longer take CRT TV’s and CRT Monitors. If you need a place to recycle these, you can check the St. Louis County Website for more places that recycle electronics: Electronic Recycling – St. Louis County Website (stlouiscountymo.gov) Unfortunately, no one takes them for free, there will be fees associated with these types of electronics.

We accept recycling drop-offs during our business hours. Please call ahead to make arrangements.

Most items are free but there are some exceptions. Click here to see a list of items and their charges for recycling.

Our current list of items we do and do not accept are located here: https://www.redleafasset.com/approved-list-gear-accept-for-recycling/

If the item you want to drop off isn’t in the list, please feel free to give us a call or contact us via our contact page.

Since we do not accept appliances for recycling, we suggest using the St. Louis County Recycle Wizard to determine where to take them: Recycle Wizard – St. Louis County Website (stlouiscountymo.gov)

Mostly, no. Most items turned in for recycling have little to no value and are broken down for their component parts and sent to our recycling partners.

Any type of data storage is securely erased or destroyed. We never sell any item containing customer data. Read more about that process here.

The “Red Leaf” name symbolizes the life cycle of IT equipment. The red leaves of autumn signify a change of season, which is similar to the recycling process we offer to our customers.

As the leaves are recycled back into the Earth, we should also recycle and or reuse the electronics that are discarded on a daily basis.

Repurposing Decommissioned Equipment

Our team consists of professionals who have spent years mastering the art of determining value. They conduct thorough market research and leverage a wide range of resources to identify the highest possible value for each item. With a solid understanding of the costs involved in the process, we are always focused on maximizing the final return to our customers.

You’re welcome to send us a list of the items you have and we’ll let you know if any of the items have value. The more specific the information we’re given, the better estimate you’ll receive.
